Some photos from Lawrence Hopewell Trail’s Full Moon Ride

This year’s event was just fabulous!

Love the Full Moon Ride! And the weather for this year’s version — on Sept. 14 — couldn’t have been better!

Full Moon Ride is a six-mile loop ride in Mercer Meadows, one of the big Mercer County Park. The Lawrence Hopewell Trail runs through it, though this bike ride also uses trails that aren’t part of the LHT.

It’s great to see the number of riders growing– more than 500 this year — and more of them getting in the spirit by lighting up their bikes. This was also the first time I was around for the big start, with (small) fireworks and “Star Wars” music.

As always, I loved the special lighting along parts of the trail. Thumbs up to addition of a band at Hunt House. So many people took a break to listen.

And who doesn’t like capping off an evening outside with s’mores around a fire pit?

A gardener (along with the Brit) who has discovered there is more than hybrid tomatoes. And a cyclist.
